Create a Control Framework

Introduction

A User can create a new Control Framework in the Platform. A Control Framework allows the User to establish information security Controls.

Step-by-Step Guide(s)

  1. Navigate to the “Frameworks” menu

  2. Click the “Create” button on the Framework data grid

    1. Alternatively, click “Add Framework” through the Quick Actions menu in the Controls page

  3. There are two options from here:

    1. Duplicate using a Framework Template

    2. Manually input a Name and necessary Custom Fields

  4. Click the “Submit” button

Additional Information:

  • Control Frameworks can be duplicated by using the “Duplication” option from the right-click menu in the Control Frameworks List

Introduction

A User can duplicate items by using the select buttons on data grids throughout the Platform. Certain details, connections, and sub-items will be copied as well, depending on what is duplicated.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to the data grid where the object to be duplicated is located (e.g. Vendor Data grid, Evidence Data Grid, etc.)

  2. Use the select button in the option menu

  3. Check the box(es) of items you want to duplicate

  4. Use the Duplicate button in the option menu

  5. Click the “Submit” when the confirmation modal appears
