Supported Environments for the Rivial Platform

Our team designs and implements the Rivial Platform to be a leading cybersecurity tool that is both reliable and responsive, even in the presence of large amounts of data. We expect our software to load on many devices that are capable of running a browser. However, there are several restrictions under which we will first recommend updating, upgrading, or changing your environment before fixing an incoming bug.

Supported Browsers

Web browsers are the software that you use to access the internet. We may elect to use the latest features of a particular browser to bring state-of-the-art features to you as soon as possible. We encourage our users to update their browsers to the latest versions as soon as they become available for the security benefits and stability improvements that they offer.

Supported Resolutions

The Rivial Platform is designed to be run on a wide array of desktop or laptop screens. We do not explicitly support mobile or tablet devices. In order for all content on the platform to be accessible and display correctly the effective resolution of your browser window (with zoom applied) needs to meet the below criteria.

Old UI

Minimum: 1024×768 (width x height)

New UI

Minimum: 1440x900 (width x height)

Supported Operating Systems

An operating system is the overarching software that manages your device’s hardware and applications. The capabilities of some less known or outdated operating systems may inhibit the platform from loading correctly or efficiently.

• Windows 10 and Windows 11

• macOS (latest version)

• Ubuntu Linux (latest version)

Other Requirements

• JavaScript is enabled in the browser

• Internet access is stable

• IP address is from the United States

• The following domains are part of the allowlist in your network, firewall and adblocker settings:

  • platform.rivialsecurity.com - to access the platform

  • rivial-helpcenter.scrollhelp.site - to access help center articles from within the platform

  • scribehow.com - for onboarding workflows and interactive guides for how to use the platform

  • sentry.io - to help us debug any crashes or errors that may occur on your machine

  • LaunchDarkly - for controlling custom user and organization settings (there are a few domains needed to allow proper access, see client side domains: https://docs.launchdarkly.com/sdk/concepts/domain-list#accessing-launchdarkly-by-domain)

We have chosen the supported environment specifications based on the current usage trends of the platform, these lists may change as time goes on. If your organization relies heavily on an unsupported browser or operating system we would love to hear about it!
