Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication during Initial Signup (MFA)
Introduction
Multi-Factor Authentication or MFA is an important step in securing your information and keeping unwanted entities from accessing your information that is being stored on the Rivial platform. This feature is another process involved with logging into the application. There are two types of MFA. The first one is: SMS or ' Short Message Service '. The second option is: TOTP or ' Time-Base One-Time Password '.
Initial Sign-In
SMS Multi-Factor Authentication Step-By-Step Guide
Create password for new account and click ‘Submit’
Select ‘SMS’
Click ‘Use SMS MFA’
The SMS Multi-Factor Authentication is now set up, the application will send a code to the attached user phone number when logging in. You will need the code to log into the application.
Authenticator (TOTP) Multi-Factor Authentication Step-By-Step Guide
Create password for new account and click ‘Submit’
Select ‘Authenticator’
Scan the QR code on the screen using the Google Authenticator app.
Enter the code that was given into the app and hit submit. Your TOTP Multi-Factor Authentication has now been set up. Refer back to the app when the code is needed for logging in.
